~ Menopause ~
I'm feeling
very sad today
I don't know what to do
I can't explain why I feel this way
Why I'm feeling oh so blue.
I'm wearing a frown on my face
No smile will you see today
I can't seem to shake this off
I can't seem to find a way.
Friends have tried to cheer me up
It seems to be a hopeless cause
I wonder if I might be suffering
From the awful effects of menopause.
That could explain my doldrums
Explain the feelings of hot and cold
I've been told these are the symptoms
The symptoms of growing old.
I wasn't really prepared for this
I'm getting old but I should've known
All these mixed emotions I'm getting
Is all due to changing hormones.
Why can't us women age gracefully
Instead of being put through such an ordeal
The hot flashes and mood swings are upsetting
There is no way I can be genteel !
I'd like to age like a bottle of fine wine
Getting better with every year
Instead this menopause has me wondering
Should I laugh or shed some tears!!
You see that's why I am so sad
This menopause has me so confused
Between the hot flashes and mood swings
I seem to be constantly singing the blues.
