As I meander along the garden path
I ponder flowers in my view,
They smile at me with angel faces
sweetly
Reminding me of you.

Some blossom in the fresh delight of spring
And some in wintry days of fall,
Others glow in summer heat
all special
With unique rapport.

The vibrant orange of nasturtium
Profuse in summer show,
Proclaim that my world is a colorful garden
Blooming
With everyone I know.

Growing softly in amongst the greenery
Is the pelargonium soft pink,
Displaying a throat of sweetest velvet
a friend
Who engraves enduring heart imprint.

The gladioli burgeoning beautiful and strong
Blooming generously on every side,
Calling to me of those loving friends
who reach
With arms extended wide.

Planted in little terracotta pots
Are the pansies, each so pretty cute,
Always there, soft and friendly
warm and open
My heart they truly suit.

Snapdragons that snap, to make me laugh,
Sweet peas, graceful lilies and tulips bright
God's blessing of all I need
His comfort
Of lasting delight.

The Morning glory each new sunrise
Greets me with a beloved smile
Entwining deep into my heart
forever
Close, through every trial.

I treasure the rose as a specialty
For it's rich loveliness to know,
Pungent fragrance emanating from within
made more meaningful
By the thorns that made it grow.

The white daisy may seem commonplace
With wholesome purity so fair,
Yet, in enhancing a bouquet of color
they fulfill a palette
By the perfection that they share.

But the sentiment of calming peace
Is found in cherished blue columbine,
Unfolding soft and delicate
tender
Within this gentle heart of mine.
