As I sit and ponder all the wisdom of Your ways,
And gaze upon gray skies of dreary passing days;
The cold and starless evenings of seemingly endless nights,
I realize without them, I could not know Your light!

When I walk in solemn sadness, in aloneness and in pain,
When I think that I will never see the joys of life again;
I must reflect upon the times I didn't know that You were there.
Though You have always been waiting, with patience and with care.

When I think of all my "wisdom", my worldly ways of lust,
The things I couldn't live without, the things that were a must,
The "riches" that I gathered, the foolish things I sought,
I know the richest prize of all, You have already bought!

As I sit in meditation over the wonders of Your hand,
The greatest wonder of my life...You took me as I am!
You have washed away my sins, forgiven my worldly lust.
That is why my life is Yours...the Only One I trust!

So, Father I give thanks today for giving me Your Son.
He has claimed my life, my soul, He, the Holy One!
I need no other gift in life, no costly, earthly pleasure.
The Father, Son and Holy Ghost are my greatest Treasure!
