~ My Heritage ~
I'm blessed and I know it,
with grand children so fine
Ask, who do they belong to?
And I'll proudly say 'they're mine!'
Chubby fingers touching this and that
Sounds of feet, going stomp and splat
Keen little ears listening to me
Bright eyes looking so delightfully
Some are like lilies, others like pearls
Handsome little boys, pretty little girls
This one's a sister, that one's a brother
Best of all, they love one another
Oh! how I do love them
I wish they could see
But I know they cannot
"Til they become a grammy like me
