~ My Jewelry Box ~

My beautiful jewelry box has a special place;
Sitting on a doily made of beautiful lace,
The jewels inside something to treasure
Wearing them can bring so much pleasure.

The precious ornaments all gifts from a friend,
Telling of a forever love on which to depend,
Invaluable glitter set in silver and gold,
Some priceless family antiques, so very old.

The diamonds sparkle like drops of dew
Every gem is polished to a perfect hue,
A jewelry box full of memory to me
All loving gifts of the heart, don't you see.
