~ My Spirit Cried ~

 My spirit cried for mercy...
and it was freely given.
Grace, poured in abundance...
blessings flowed down from Heaven.

My spirit cried "forgive me".
Forgiveness was my gift.
It freed my soul to love,
and to give others a lift.

My spirit cried "please help me",
God's hand was thus extended...
He wrapped His arms around me,
I felt the comfort He intended.

My spirit cried "please use me"
and He put me fast to work...
flowing freely with this ink...
His spirit inspired these words.
