I hold my dearest friend so close
To keep with me all day
For my friend is warm and cozy
And never goes away

I so enjoy chattering with my friend
All along the way
Because we both sure like to listen
To everything we say

I pray for my loving friend
'Cause that's what best friends always do
Especially in the understanding
'Twas our God who gave me you
