In the stillness of the
night,
My tired body needing
sleep;
A tender weakness comes
over me,
A promise I can't keep.
I feel your heartbeat
next to mine
Though you are nowhere
near.
I reach out my hand to
you
To find that you're not
here.
I feel your breath
against my neck
Your soft and gentle
touch.
I see the moonlight on
your face
And want you ,oh, so
much!
I know that you're not
mine to have
And may not ever be.
But you are here within
my heart
You're ,oh, so real to
me!
I can feel your arms
around me
Your kisses so warm and
real.
Something I know that
cannot be
Yet something I still
feel...
