The old year will soon go out
The New year will soon begin
We will celebrate with a toast
Of maybe a little shot of gin.

We will toast to each other's health
And to each other's best prosperity
We will toast to the ones that we love
And maybe toast to our heredity.

Some may make a New Year's resolution
While some others may decide to opt out
But whatever you decide to do friends
I hope your resolution will soon come about.

But please let me be the very first one
To offer up to you my own special toast
And that is to tell you I care for you friend
And to me you will always be the most.
