OH THIS AGEING #4
I just come from a birthday party
Took a nice gift with me
Then someone told me it was mine,
Said, you're 93
Who, ME? I said in surprise
I could not believe my own eyes
I'd brought my own self a gift
But still, it was a surprise
I'd bought me a pair of red hose
Oh, how pretty! I said to myself
Just what I've been wanting
And I bought them right off the shelf
I got many other things
Can't recall just what they were
But I'll remember my red hose
I'll wear them everywhere!
Now what was that party for?
It's slipped my mind again
Was it for a family member
Or maybe just a friend?
Oh well I'll remember
One day as I'm thinking hard
Then I can give them this gift I bought
Attached to a nice little card!
