Awhile ~
Morning
dawns
sunny
and
bright
Chasing
away
the
gloom
of
night.
And as
I
leave
my
tangled
bed,
Already,
thoughts
of you
fill
my
head.
A cup
of
coffee
will
start
my
day,
It's
strong
and
hot
the
usual
way.
I feel
your
presence
here
with
me.
I hear
your
laugh,
your
smile
I see.
And as
I
start
those
daily
chores,
Making
the
bed,
sweeping
the
floors,
In my
minds
eye I
see
you
near
And I
think
of you
again my
dear.
There's
checks
to
write,
bills
to
pay,
Many
things
to do
while
you're
away.
Yes, I
hear
your
voice,
see
your
smile
As I
think
of
you,
once
in
awhile.
So,
another
day
passes
slowly
by,
The
sun
sinks
low in
a
cloudless
sky.
But in
my
thoughts
is
where
you
stay,
Once
in
awhile,
all
day,
every
day.
The
stars
begin
to
twinkle
up
above,
And my
thoughts
are of
you my
love.
Soon
sleep
will
take
you
away
from
me,
But,
tomorrow,
in my
thoughts
you
will
be.
Yes,
once
in
awhile
I'll
think
of
you,
For
there
is
nothing
else I
want
to do.
You
are my
life
every
minute
of
every
day,
It
doesn't
change
because
you're
far
away.
