~ One Red Rose ~
Such a rare and stunning beauty was she
Never such loveliness did ever he see
She placed a rose across his knee...
and longingly asked, "Do you love me?"
He was a handsome but sad man
and thought he would never love again
But this was a special time and place
enchanted by the softness of her face
With hopeless feelings and spirits so low
how could his cold heart know...
there embraced in love's glow
true feelings were beginning to grow
He touched the rose on his knee
and his heart knew this love had to be...
Embracing her soul ever so gently
their passions soared the Heavens free
His heart captured by beauty and grace
their souls wrapped in love's embrace
True hearts locked together
their love will live forever
Now, with time, he's grown old
not quite as handsome and bold
But where ever he goes...
His heart remembers that one red rose...
