~ Our Perfect Pets ~

My neighbor owned a little dog
I owned a little cat
These two perfect pets
Got angry when they met.

The doggie gave a low growl
Kitty arched her back and hissed
Then they both went for a run
The cat went over the fence.

The doggie stopped in time
To save a tragedy
Otherwise the doggie's head
had gone thru the fence you see.

We try so hard to teach them
To love each other still
But tho' the dog is willing
The cat has his own will.

No doggie room in my life
My kitty does convey
If you're smart enough
You'll stay out of my way.
