~ The Piano ~
One day my beloved sat down at the piano,
I was so tired and ill at ease,
His fingers moving ever so lightly
Over the lovely old keys.
I did not know what he was playing,
I must have been dreaming then,
When he struck a chord of music,
The sound of a great amen.The keys of this lovely old piano
Seemed to come to life,
Such a harmonious echo
Entered my heart, taking away all strife.
The music flowed softly into the night,
All chords blending ever so light,
The sound so perfect it did not cease,
Leaving my soul in perfect peace.
