~ Picture Of Life ~

I came into this world
Just a tiny bundle
New things to do see
With each step and stumble.

 I grew into a young being
In God’s image I was cast
But as my small self grew
That image would not last.

 One day I’ll never wake
I’ll go the way I came
Just a person with a soul
In my life I have no shame.

 I lived the best I could
Looking back on life’s picture
Family, friends, and Jesus Christ
Life’s perfect mixture.

 I pray dear Lord Jesus
My wrinkled hands did enough
To help all those around me
Through good times and the tough.

I’ll leave my picture for the future
And hope that many will see
The love I’ve felt from up above
The day that God let me be.
