From the moment he first told you
there were special plans
your mind kept playing leapfrog
would he ask you for your hand?
You reached the destination
'n wondered what's in store
he led you down a walkway
'fore opening cabin door
The flowers on the table
were first to catch your eye
a teddy bear and chocolates
his Valentine's surprise
Had dinner reservations
with table set for two
candlelight and romance
waltzed around the room
Then came that magic moment
he knelt on bended knee
his words echoed in the silence
will you marry me?
A silver ring with diamonds
picked special just for you
placed gently on your finger
to prove his was true
Your heart began to tango
releasing happy tears
whispered yes, 'I Love You'
'n sealed it with a kiss
Applause hop-scotched around you
altho' still mesmerized
you couldn't help but notice
the room was full of eyes
That final walk with Daddy
with tears he'll set you free
butterfly kisses carried
'pon the soft sigh of a breeze
A promise of forever
when two are joined as one
no...I'll not lose you daughter
instead will gain a son
There are no words sufficient
for this joy I feel inside
just know you have my Blessings
when you become his bride
