~ Quiet Solitude ~

My soul seeks quiet solitude,
so to you I humbly come...
no other friend or family
can give that kind of love.

When I feel down at heart,
and my spirit needs sustaining,
it's you to whom I come,
you do all the maintaining.

Thank you Lord, for being there
when I'm happy, when I'm sad...
Help me to always strive for goodness
to make another person glad.

Thank you Lord, for breath of life,
help me to live it well,
never doubting for an instant
the things my spirit feels.

Quiet solitude with you,
I seek each and every day,
when my soul needs understanding,
there's just no other way.
