~ Rise and Shine
~
Oh
rooster, please be hush
Do let me lay here so much more,
Fly your noisy welcome far away
Let there be morning sleep for all.
Can you change the schedule for today
For the night was far too short,
Pause the hustle and bustle
Give me a little prayerful thought.
Why
not cease the cockadoodling
And go nestle down upon your perch,
Leave the moonbeams softly glowing
May the peace be undisturbed.
Come back maybe, only when the sun
says so
But, do wake me gently like a hen
clucking in her nest,
For this daylight saving alarm you
crow
Is putting me on edge
So instead,
To be helpful, what energy have you to
share with me
For springing out of bed.
