Secret Pathway ~
There's a secret
pathway
Tucked behind a
garden gate,
And if you can
find the key
To slip into the
lock
Oh what beauty
there awaits.
All that can be
imagined and
more
Is
sparkling just
for you,
With a friend to
share the joy
Ambling
delightfully
Immersed in
every view.
Or relax in
sweet solitude
For time will
last as day,
No age or
loneliness to
hinder joy
Pause or sit in
peacefulness
For loveliness
will stay.
Reach for
ripened fruit to
savor
Or a dew
drenched
fragrant rose,
To tuck within
your hair
Dance with
abandon in the
buttercups
Sweet nectar only
you can share.
Sink into the
grass and softly
whisper
To smiling pansy
faces
As they sing for
you,
With violets and
daffodils
Unfolding ever
new.
Then gaze
above, past the
dream
To sparkles over
yonder,
Beyond
imagination,
Not to empty
dark oblivion
But to
surpassing
wonder.
Is here any
lovelier dream
You're praying
could come true,
Then reach for
the secret key
of life
And slip inside
to embrace
The treasures hidden
there for you.
