~ Silent Is The Night ~

Peek behind the shadows
Never yet to be found,
A secret kept from ages past
Is now to abound,
Like droplets of dew,
Silver bells
Soft and gentle
To shower the earth,
With eternal birth.

Can you see the glory shining
Hush be still, silent is the night,
Rest and listen for the gentle sound
We have heard on high
Hark the herald angels sing
Noel Noel
All ye faithful, to bring
Softly the news is unfolding
Away in a manger
To welcome the baby King..

Let the beauty appear,
Do you hear what I hear
Let it enter in,
Joy to the world,
The heavens will open
With favor
To cover as a blanket of warmth
On earth peace to men
Gently it will begin.

Unfurling love, like a parchment will unfold
The dark sky blaze with abundant bliss,
It came upon a midnight clear
To calm every lurking fear
Jesus' love is here
Lo, how a rose e're blooming
What child is this
So very near.

Hush be still, silent your holy night,
Listen with your heart
And you will see the light.
Feel His gentle touch,
Alight in your soul
To fill you with overflowing joy
Of mans desiring
O come our Emmanuel
Come,
For You alone will make us whole.
