~ An American Soldier's
Easter Rose ~
When the wind blows and sand storms
touch your skin
I ask God why you're in the Middle East
where you can't be seen.
I pray Dear Lord, keep your soul,
in this country far away.
On Easter Sunday, when Christ rose
from the dead, roses
for American Soldiers, I want to pray
Let all the brave receive an Easter rose,
For faith to win this war and set the people free
I hope this Easter Sunday,
as we celebrate Jesus rising from the tomb
Roses fall around your feet
And take your breath away
To know He will forsake you never
As we pray you come home
to family and friends
that Jesus will protect you,
until this nightmare ends.
