All my life I've searched in vain
For someone whose spirit was free,
Someone whose spirit was wild,
To share life as it was meant to be.

To follow the unmarked paths,
To soar with the eagles on high,
To glory in the beauty of nature,
Thrill to the wolf's mournful cry.

I never wanted big city noise,
I never wanted big city lights,
Wanting only the peace I find
Under the starlit sky of nights.

I need the wind's soft caress
Cooling my brow on a warm day.
I need to feel the gentle rain,
Washing all of my sorrows away.

I long for mountains so high,
For rivers both clear and wide,
To feel that my Grandfather
Is walking close by my side.

Yes, I search for the one
Whose passions in life are mine,
With a spirit wild and free,
Sharing a love simply divine.

As the wolf, a mate for all of life,
A union blessed by Grandfather above.
Then all of my desires are fulfilled
With my heart knowing true love.
