~ The Stars Are In Your Eyes ~

As I sit here by the window
I look out as day is done,
I see a beautiful sunset
It takes my breath away.
I wish we both could see it
At the end of the lovely day.

As night starts drifting in
I see a falling star
And I know you are wishing
Upon that same star,
I see the stars shine in your eyes
Beautiful and new,
I would like to just hold your hand
So God's energy comes though.
If God did not send you
I would have been very sad,
Laughter and happiness
May not have come my way,
Now I am able to see the love of God
In the things He brings to me
The flowers, trees, the grass that grows
The blooms of a lovely rose.
The Holy Spirit you tell me of
The greatest gift of love,
God sent me a guardian angel
With the stars in your eyes,
I have been blessed with a living spirit
The Lord has sent to me
When I see all the wonder of the world, I see.

I may be here waiting at my window
I may need your love time and time again,
You help to take away my pain
You are my greatest friend.
