Stepping into the Jordan
~
I'm standing at the
Jordan,
Waiting for the river to
part,
Oh help me sink my feet
in
And wade in with my
heart…
The river is so deep
Lord,
With stones stuck from
my Past,
They keep my feet from
moving,
And the waters rising
fast.
Oh I need to take a step
now
And move these heavy
feet,
To still the raging
rapids
Of my drowning unbelief…
I'm weary of this
bondage,
And I'm stuck in miry
clay--
And stumbling on the
same stones
I fall on every day…
So I'm stepping out in
trust, Lord,
Oh please, come take my
hand…
I'll walk into Your
waters
That lead me to Your
land.
I'm stepping into the
Jordan,
Rejoicing as the waters
part…
Oh how I feel so free
now…
As I walk in with my
heart!

The
Israelites came to the
eastern side of the
swollen Jordan River.
Hundreds of thousands of
people needed to cross
over into the promised
land God said He would
raise the waters into a
heap…"as soon as the
soles of the feet….shall
rest in the waters"
Joshua 3:13
