Tea With Little Friends

Life may be good and sweet
If that is such to think,
When little friends venture to meet
With empty hands,
To open wide in need.

For a little thing will always know
How to happily run free,
Unshackled
New delight to see.

A little thing knows how to ask
When hungry, just to open wide,
Then food will quickly come
To warm a cold inside.

A little thing knows how to love
When soft feelings come,
To open up the heart
And spontaneously have fun.

A little thing knows how to feel
When sorrow takes away,
To softly cry until the hurt is gone
Then come back to play.

A little thing is fit for heaven
So automatically,
For they know how to trust
In One they cannot see.

My sweet little friend is the one then
To keep forever,
For when all the rest may disappear
We will always be together.
