Well my eyesight may be dimming
And worn patches showing through,
But after all these years of loving
I've got one more huggle left
I saved it just for you.
Though I may forget some trifles
And lose a thread or two,
I'm hanging onto all that matters
My memories of you.
I may not hear too well
And be confused in much to do,
But I'll be knowing greatest treasure
My lovely time with you.
My reactions may be slowing
And a new day bring forth nothing new,
Still my heart is strongly beating
with eternal feeling
Of loving thoughts of you.
So, I'll not fret about the fraying
The loss of all I knew,
For all that I have gained is more
and shall last forever
Knowing special you.
