I
went for a visit to the Doctor
But why did he not prescribe,
What I really needed most
(But to you I will confide.)
You see, I needed a tender
teddy hug
Warm and fuzzy too,
So
I could feel more loved
For that is what they do.
Maybe instead of jelly beans
Could he keep a teddy bear,
For times when we're beary sad
And need a little care.
For cuddling a teddy bear real
tight
Is
the best of substitutes,
For a friendly face that is
Because they're beary cute.
So I prescribe keeping one
on your chair
So he can very softly say,
Line up for your shot
Tender teddy cuddles here
today.

A special
friend,
Precious to the end
In whom you can confide
Will love like a teddy
Welcoming arms held
out wide,
With imperfect sight.
But ears always open
And mouth shut beary tight.
