~ There Shall be Wars ~
"Dear Lord, I feel so
humbled,
Dear Lord I feel so
small.
I come to ask your
blessings
On our soldiers, one
and all.
From World War I
and World War II
Most souls have gone
on
To dwell with you.
Bless them now
In heaven above
with your rewards
of eternal love.
To those who fought on
Korea's shore,
Although small
An ongoing war.
To the bless-ed
Vet from Viet Nam
Who fought their war
on unholy land
We hang our heads and
hope we've learned
the disgrace we showed
Upon their return!
Though mistakes were
made
They fought with pride
and stood Fast
for Freedom's side.
And now in Afghanistan
and Iraq
We pray for you to
send them back
For their unselfish
giving for our land
For
freedom, religion, God hold their hand!
Stand beside them
Make them strong
to fight the enemy
who did such wrong.
We won't forget
who gave their all
for our great country
They answered the
call.
And Father bless
our Commander and
Chief
for his leadership
And firm belief.
Through tribulation
and through tears
He led us on
Not showing fears.
Hated by enemies
Criticized by some
He stands fast
To lead us on.
They've heard his
strong voice
Feared his command
Over there
In that foreign land.
We've thanked his
wisdom
Respect his belief
Witnessed his strength
Borne his grief.
Stand close by
our President's side
Be his leader
And his guide.
God bless all
In this God fearing
land
That have fought for
freedom
In a foreign land!!
