~ Your Voice ~
If tangible were your words
and I listened and heard
It would be like caressing a king's finest velvet
woven by angels the timbre never to forget.
In the most fierce of winds and storms of life
tossed about by trouble and strife,
your voice comes from within, strong, yet tender and smooth
and does my soul soothe.
The embarrassment and anguish I've suffered, if only you knew!
For I have never really been the one to pursue.
Forgive me if your tender voice and gentle soul
have haunted my heart.
I give you this poem and with it I must depart.
