Down in your heart you know
That you don't have to see a face,
To keep the truest fuzzy friends
And connect at a deeper place.
You don't need to see a smile
Or a twinkle in the eye,
And without ever touching a hand
Your heart still meets across the miles.
You delight to lift another high
No matter what distance separates,
For thoughts are not confined by space
Another's good to anticipate.
Together in the sharing
Of everyday life is what really matters,
For it is in genuine warm care
That the ordinary is shattered.
To be close in joy and tears
And prayer, for miracles to be won,
A friend couldn't be more near
