~ What Mothers Do ~
Mothers kiss your cheeks at night,
tuck you into bed real tight,
and
sings you lullabies,
Mothers read nursery rhymes
and little books to you,
she plays patty cake,
and peek-a-boo,
Mothers bake your favorite cakes
she whips up your favorite pie,
Mothers kiss your boo-boos,
and wipes your tears when you cry,
Mothers take pride in the
clothes you wear,
she shampoos, and combs your hair,
Mothers correct you when you are wrong
and compliments you when you are right,
she teaches you how to get along,
with others and teaches you not to fight,
Most of all Mothers love you so very much,
she prays each night
that your angel will protect you
keeping you in their sight
Her one desire
is that you grow up strong in
character,
brave and true,
with an aura of happiness
surrounding everything you do,
Mothers are your source of comfort,
your fountain of delight,
She teaches you that
God is your source of supplication,
thanksgiving, and petitions
day and night.
