Whenever You're Away ~
by: O' Puppy
Things are not the
same around here
Your tiptoe feet, that
listening ear
The perking of the coffee
pot
I guess I miss those things
a lot
My coat you always hang for
me
Is thrown across that old TV
No, things aren't working
out today
They don't, whenever you're
away
Your mom, she called and
asked for you
Her voice it seemed a bit
confused
She plum forgot those plans
you made
Oh, where's the bills I
should have paid
Hey, while I'm on the
subject now
Did you tick off the cat
somehow
And where's the food she
likes to eat
I feel I'm heading for
defeat
Ole Rocky he lays by your
chair
As if you're somehow sitting
there
The warmth that should be in
this place
Is just not there without
your face
The dishes they pile up too
fast
My appetite for soup won't
last
Yeah, things are not like
they should be
Your absence sure has played
on me
Today as I was
heading out
I realized without a doubt
That you have spoiled me way
too long
And I can't make it on my
own
When is it you'll be getting
in
The hampers full, my nerves
are thin
This house is in such
disarray
It's just, whenever you're
away
