~ Willingly He Went ~

As I behold the face of Jesus
While here on my knees in prayer
Watching Him die in agony
While paying my sin debt there

I feel so sorry in my heart
As I think about His love
I just can't help but weep
Can't ever praise Him enough

There was no hope for me
Until Jesus took my place
And died alone at Calvary
Gave me such mercy and grace

He suffered so much pain
But so willingly He went
up that rugged hill
And time on the cross He spent

To save a lost and dying world
for which I am part of
I can never give him enough thanks
For such tremendous love
