As I gaze into
my days now gone
I see a
blur through tumbling snow,
Memories engraved
within my heart
Have become to me
a cameo.
Oh Daddy, I would
cry
It's
snowing, let's toboggan now,
Please pull me up
our favorite hill
Look out, here
comes the noisy plough.
And as we'd climb
past all the firs
You'd knock the
drifts off every bough,
And as it flaked
all over me
I'd giggle with
delighted glee.
Then how excited I
would be
To reach the very
top,
You'd hold
me tight and we would sled...
Down so fast,
until we stopped.
Then, I'd cry,
just one more Daddy
And you'd sigh,
it's much too far,
But with
a grin, back up we'd go
I just know I was
your little star.
Most wonderful of
all... as darkness fell
You'd lift
me in a loving hug,
How about hot
choc, you'd laugh
As we cuddled by
the fire, all warm and snug.
I am so
grateful for the treasure
Of all your
Daddy love for me, to be
Shown how to trust
my heavenly Father
You cared that
I'll be safe eternally.
