~ A Gift For You ~
What an incredible young man
You have turned out to be,
Each year you grow taller, and stronger;
You are so much a part of me.
I am very proud of you;
You make my heart melt with
All the love you have to share;
Before you were born I know
God heard me when I prayed
And you are the answer to that prayer.
You delight us with your humor,
The funny things you say,
You entertain us when you sing,
And your sweet smile makes our day
It is like the fresh air of Spring.
May you live long with joy
And may all your troubles cease,
May you live to see your children’s, children’s, children;
God gives you, and all of His children, mercies
And unfailing love, and peace.
When we wait upon the Lord
We will find new strength.
We will fly high on wings like eagles.
We will run and not grow weary.
We will walk and not faint.
God never abandons us.
(Even when we feel He is not listening)
