~ You Are My Friend ~
We often take our dearest friends for
granted,
Hardly aware of the seeds of love we planted.
We talk or we write to each other each day
And never run out of things we want to say.
There will be days when something makes us glad,
And other times some things which make us sad.
It is then we always turn to a precious friend,
The one we know will share our feelings to the end.
But, do we always let them know how much we care?
How important it is to have someone with whom to share?
When we trade thoughts and feelings right from our heart
We sense their closeness though we may live far apart.
When you feel blessed to have such a friend as this
There should never be a single chance that you miss
To tell them you care and thanks for all that they do,
And that you are there for them as they are for you.
