What is that inner glow
Of a little secret twinkle
That tender smile upon your face
Emerging from a deep recess.
Have you a hidden place
Where you have been before
What mysteries do you hide
How many wonders have you seen
That are buried down inside.
If you might have the call
What would you like to say,
Or do you stay quiet to reveal
Wisdom in another way
Has God whispered eternal wonders
While you were holding still
Would you be so close a friend
That He unfolds His will.
As you rest within His sunshine
And gaze into His soul,
Does He tenderly touch your heart
So that you feel quite whole,
In every gentle breeze
The song of a little bird
Do you hear Him speaking
Take in His every word.
In the fluffy clouds on high
And fragrance held in every bud,
Enraptured by a baby thing
Heavenly touches of enduring love,
I know that is why you smile
From riches tucked inside
You have a joyous hope to give away
God lifted you in His presence to abide
